5 Easy-to-Make Halloween Snacks for Healthy Teeth

Halloween means class parties, trick or treating, and an all-around day full of sugar. While it’s perfectly fine to have fun and enjoy some sweet treats, don’t limit your party snacks to bowls of candy. There are plenty of healthy and fun ways to celebrate that are better for your kids’ teeth and their health.
These adorable and yummy spider snacks will go over great at the Halloween party and you won’t have to worry about sugar overload! Spread peanut butter or cream cheese between two circle crackers and use stick pretzels for the legs. Stick raisin eyes on the top cracker and pat yourself on the back for creating a spook-sational, healthy snack.
If you get excited about fruit, these banana ghosts and orange pumpkins are super easy and kid-friendly. The banana ghosts are ½ a banana and two mini chocolate chips for eyes. For the orange pumpkins, peel a Cutie and insert a small stick of celery into the top. Can’t get any easier than that! If you don’t have time to peel the Cuties, draw jack-o’-lantern faces on them with a permanent marker.
These are almost too cute to eat! To create these adorable treats, you will need green apples, strawberries, a nut butter of your choice, sunflower seeds, and frosted eyes (you can find these in the cake decorating aisle at your local grocery store).
Kids will go crazy for these! Clean out several peppers (we suggest one of each color). Then carve a cute or scary jack-o’-lantern face and fill with your favorite veggie. Carrot sticks, broccoli, and pepper strips are easy to grab and go.
For those parents short on time or artistic skill, paper cup monsters are easy and fun. Purchase white paper cups and draw your favorite scary face. Frankenstein, ghost, or jack-o’-lantern, these cups take minimal effort, but provide maximum Halloween spirit! Fill the cups with healthy snack mix for a healthy Halloween treat.
