Nitrous oxide is administered through a mask placed over the child’s nose, allowing them to breathe in a combination of nitrous oxide and oxygen. The effects are mild and wear off quickly once the mask is removed. 

3. General Anesthesia

It involves rendering the child completely unconscious, similar to undergoing surgery in a hospital setting. It is administered by a licensed anesthesiologist and is normally reserved for complex dental procedures, extensive treatments, or cases where a child cannot cooperate.
